With more than 4,000contracting authorities and over 20,000 suppliers involved in Lithuania’s public procurement system, the need for a modern and efficient platform became critical.

The previous public procurement information system, in operation since 2008, had reached the end of its life cycle and no longer met the functional and technological needs of its users. In response, a decision was made to develop a new-generation system.

The development of information system aimed to:

• Digitally transform all key public procurement processes using smart, user-centric digital solutions;
• Structure procurement-related data in a more integrated and standardized way to improve transparency and data-driven decision-making;
• Accelerate procurement procedures, ensuring greater efficiency and responsiveness for both contracting authorities and suppliers.
